Foreign Trade Update 2025

In the USMCA region, protectionism is intensifying with adjustments to tariffs and rules of origin, which will force companies to adapt to new conditions. Additionally, the SAT's Master Tax Audit Plan and the National Strategy for Industrialization and Shared Prosperity will promote import substitution and the modernization of processes such as IMMEX 4.0, opening new opportunities to strengthen Mexico's competitiveness in global trade.

2025 will bring significant changes to the General Rules of Foreign Trade, with new updates in customs procedures, inventory control, and the classification of sensitive goods, among other key provisions. Furthermore, the Ministry of Economy will implement new criteria that will impact international trade operations.
