The Tax Authorities have announced today through a press release that the deadline for the mandatory use of version 3.3 for electronic invoices has been extended as well as the deadlines to issue payment complements and the application of the new cancellation rules.
The new deadlines are as follows:
• As of January 1st, 2018, the only valid version for CFDIs will be version 3.3.
• As of April 1st, 2018, it will be mandatory to issue a complement upon receiving payments.
• The approval process to cancel invoices will enter into effect as of July 1st, 2018.
• If there is an error or discrepancy when registering the code for the unit of measurement and/or the code for the product or service, this will not be considered as an infraction until June 30th, 2018.
