Biography

Montserrat Colin is a Partner in the Advisory and Transactional Tax Services at JA Del Río, based in Mexico City, where she has built a distinguished career in the field of transactional tax advisory and consultancy. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Accounting from the National Polytechnic Institute. With over 17 years of experience as a tax advisor in Corporate Taxes, International Taxes, and Transactions, she spent 14 years in Big Four firms.

Standing out as a lead tax advisor in M&A services, she has provided her expertise to clients in Mexico, the United States, Canada, Germany, and Brazil. Her expertise includes corporate restructurings, share transfers, due diligence (both buy-side and sell-side), tax compliance, deferred taxes, as well as the establishment of new businesses in Mexico. Montserrat has led projects involving Big Four firms, Praxity affiliated firms, and Mexican and international law firms.
