Biography

Jorge Rodríguez Huerta holds a degree in International Business from the Escuela Superior de Comercio y Administración, Santo Tomás Campus. His practice focuses on advising national and international companies on customs, tax, and strategic matters related to their foreign trade operations.

With over 17 years of experience, Jorge has built his career in international firms, , where he served as a consultant. He has led projects on customs audits, tariff classification, free trade agreements, and promotion programs such as IMMEX, PROSEC, and Rule Eight, customs valuation studies as well as legal procedures including home visits and desk audits, including customs advisory and consulting projects with implications in tax, transfer pricing, legal, and accounting matters.

Currently, he designs and implements operational structures that provide tax and customs benefits, and collaborates in the development of technological solutions for efficient foreign trade management. His expertise also includes logistics strategies and regulatory compliance for both domestic and international industries, including assessment in soft-landing and nearshoring processes with the aim to promote foreign direct investment within Mexico.

In the academic and technical outreach fields, he has been a speaker in customs-related courses and has participated as a presenter at SEDECIT in the Bajío region, and currently he is member to the Tax Technical Committee at the College of Public Accountants of Mexico (Colegio de Contadores Públicos de México).

Jorge is known for his comprehensive and strategic approach to the planning and compliance of foreign trade operations. He is currently the Director of Foreign Trade at the Mexico City office.
