Biography

Mauricio Socha has a degree in both Chartered Accounting from the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University and as a Quality Assurance Specialist of Internal Control from the Pontifical Xavierian University [in Spanish: la Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano and la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana respectively].  He is ICAEW certified in the UK in International Financial Reporting Standards.

During his 20-year career in one of the Big Four, Mauricio participated in and worked as lead auditor, and was in charge of the auditing of financial statements, in accordance with local and international standards for various multinational companies belonging to different industries, all of which are listed in stock markets from around the world. He also brings to the table his vast experience in Internal Control and Tax Auditing.

He is a member of the National Institute of Public Accountants of Colombia [in Spanish: el Instituto Nacional de Contadores Públicos].

Mauricio has worked as a coach and has provided courses for professional personnel for several firms, as well as for other academic events.

He is currently an Audit, Accounting, and Finance Partner in the JA Del Río Colombia office.
