Biography

Certified Public Accountant with over 11 years of experience in financial and tax audit, with a strong track record in the planning, management, and execution of financial statement audits in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Mexican Financial Reporting Standards (NIF).

He worked at a Big Four firm, taking part in the development, follow-up, and supervision of various audit engagements for public and private companies, primarily in the manufacturing, financial, mining, hospitality, and agricultural industries.

He holds a B.A. in Public Accounting from the University of Guadalajara, with experience auditing subsidiaries of foreign public companies reporting to the SEC under Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) rules. He also took part in a PCAOB inspection in 2019.

Wilmer is currently an Audit Director at JA Del Río’s Guadalajara office.
