1.On May 11th, 2023, the Technical Council of Public Accounting (CTCP for its acronym in Spanish) opened a consultation on the modifications proposed by the IASB to IFRS 9 and IFRS 7

The Technical Council of Public Accounting, through the answer to 7 questions, seeks to collect the comments of the interested parties about the modifications proposed by the IASB regarding the classification and measurement requirements of IFRS 9 and IFRS 7 to carry out an analysis and consolidate in a document the position of Colombia regarding the said project.

The document will be sent to The Group of Latin American Accounting Standard Setters (GLENIF for its acronym in Spanish) to discuss Latin America's opinion and share it with the IASB, the issuing body.

2. The National Development Plan (PND for its acronym in Spanish) 2022-2026 established that the SAS could be issuers of securities

Through Article 261 of the recently approved National Development Plan (PND for its acronym in Spanish) 2022-2026, Article 4 of Law 1258 of 2008 was modified; this modification allows the shares and other securities issued by the Simplified Stock Companies (SAS) can be registered in the National Registry of Securities and Issuers (RNVE) and traded on the stock market, this under the terms and conditions determined by the National Government through the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit.

3. Through Decree 0626 of 2023, the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit modifies Decree 2555 of 2010 to establish the conditions for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MiPymes) to join financial cooperatives

On April 27th, the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit issued Decree 0626 of 2023, by which it adds title 3 to book 4 of part 2 of Decree 2555 of 2010, establishing five conditions for the association of micro, small, and medium-sized companies to Financial cooperatives and formalization instruments.
