Biography

Guillermo González Chan is a Tax Partner at JA Del Río’s Guadalajara office. He has more than 15 years of experience advising local and international clients across diverse industries to optimize their tax burden and ensure compliance with their tax obligations in an ever-evolving regulatory environment. His expertise focuses on cross-border transactions, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), international taxation, and corporate tax advisory.

Throughout his career, he has held several roles, including Global Tax leadership at a Mexican multinational public company, and he was a Tax Partner at a Big Four firm. He also formed part of that firm’s International Center of Excellence in New York City. He has worked with companies in sectors such as manufacturing (primarily automotive), real estate, healthcare, energy and non-renewable resources, as well as technology, media, and telecommunications.

Guillermo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting from Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Universidad Regiomontana. He also holds a Diploma in Taxation from Universidad Panamericana and a professional certification from the Institute of Public Accountants of Nuevo León (ICPNL).
