Initial cancelation process to VAT and Excise Certification derived of inaccessibility of Annex 24, Section C

We inform you that the Mexican Tax Administration Service (SAT), through AGACE, has begun notifying companies of the initiation of cancellation proceedings regarding their VAT and Excise Certification. This action arises from the inability to the authorities to have access to the Company´s inventory control system indicated on Section C of the Annex 24 of the General Foreign Trade Rules (GFTR).

In accordance with the provisions set forth in the GFTR rules, companies with VAT and Excise Certification must provide to the authority in real-time access to their inventory control system, by providing a user access, credentials, passwords, and operating manuals. Failure to comply may result in the suspension or cancellation of the certification and, consequently, the loss of the related tax and customs benefits.

We strongly recommend that you immediately verify that the access and user credentials granted to AGACE remain valid and functional.

Please keep in mind that ongoing compliance with this and all other obligations is essential to maintain your certification.
