Notice disclosing the activities to be carried out by the DGFCCE during the Ministry of Economy’s holiday period

On December 1, 2025, notice 516.2025.5545 was published on the SNICE portal, through which the activities to be carried out by the General Directorate of Trade Facilitation and Foreign Trade (DGFCCE) during the Ministry of Economy’s holiday period are announced. This holiday period runs from December 22, 2025, to January 6, 2026. The notice indicates the following deadlines and dates for each procedure:

Automatic procedures

The following procedures will continue to operate normally during the holiday period, as VUCEM issues resolutions automatically:

  • Temporary import permits under rule 8th, except tariff item 9802.00.02.
  • Import permits for vehicles to be dismantled.
  • Withdrawal (desistimiento) of applications for automatic import and export permits.
  • Cancellation of applications for automatic import and export permits.
  • Import quota certificates, once the allocation or prior registration has been obtained (direct allocation and first-come, first-served).
  • Registration of questionnaires for traders of certificates of origin.
  • Validation of certificates of origin for Mexican goods (CAM), as well as under the FTAs with Panama, Pacific Alliance, Peru and Uruguay.
  • Electronic certificates of origin with Colombia under the G2 framework.
  • Layouts related to NOMs sent by email will continue to be compiled during the holiday period; however, information will only be submitted to the SAT for validation and published on the SNICE portal on December 23, 26 and 30, 2025, and January 2 and 6, 2026. Cut-off time will be 10:00 a.m. on each of those days, and the information will be transmitted to SAT on the same day.

For instruments and programs other than those mentioned above, statutory deadlines will be suspended from December 22, 2025, to January 6, 2026, and will resume on January 7, 2026.
