SAT 2026 General Holiday Period: Non-business Days for the Purpose of Deadlines and Term limits

On July 9, 2026, the First Resolution oAmending the Miscellaneous Tax Resolution for 2026 was published in the Official Gazette of the Federation, amending Rule 2.1.6. “Non-business Days,” in order to announce the first general vacation period of the Tax Administration Service (“SAT”) for fiscal year 2026.

This bulletin is for informational purposes and aims to announce the period during which certain deadlines and time limits will not be counted when dealing with said authority.

SAT general vacation period

The first general vacation period of the SAT is established from July 20 to July 31, 2026.

During this period, legal deadlines and time limits related to administrative acts, procedures, or processes before the SAT will be suspended, except in cases where applicable regulations provide for different treatment.

This may affect, among other things, the handling of requests, filings, clarifications, applications, administrative procedures, and the follow-up on tax proceedings currently pending before the SAT.

Therefore, companies are advised to review their pending matters with the SAT and, to the extent possible, submit filings, responses, or supporting documentation before the start of the vacation period.
