He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting —with specialization on Tax Issues— and a Master’s degree in Taxes, from the Universidad de Guadalajara. He is Chair of the International Tax Committee in the Public Accountants Association of Guadalajara (Colegio de Contadores Públicos de Guadalajara). He is a frequent speaker on tax issues in conferences and workshops and has authored several articles on the topic.
He currently teaches university-level courses on Taxes in the graduate program of the Colegio de Contadores Públicos de Guadalajara.
Erik has advised major companies on national and international tax matters. In particular, he has frequently supported companies in the technology services, assembly plant, alcoholic beverages, agri-food, startup and fintech sectors, especially with respect to matters related to the IMMEX program.
