1. Labor Reform Status
According to the bill filed in August 2023:
i. On June 19th, 2024, the House of Representatives approved the Labor Reform bill, allowing it to advance to the Senate.
ii. The bill was referred to the Seventh Committee, which signed a negative report recommending that the labor reform bill be archived on March 11, 2025.
iii. The Senate plenary must discuss the report for approval, modification, or final archiving.
According to the negative report signed by the Seventh Committee, it is understood that the Labor Reform was repealed, so the President of Colombia issued a statement calling for a referendum for citizens to decide.

2. Importance and Benefits of Subsidies for 2025.
Family subsidies are a benefit granted by the Family Compensation Funds, regulated by Law 21 of 1982 and Law 789 of 2002, issued by the Congress of the Republic of Colombia. Some of the subsidies are:
iv. Monetary Subsidy
v. Housing Subsidy
vi. Rental Subsidy
vii. Unemployment Subsidy
If you wish to apply for one of these Subsidies granted by the Family Compensation Funds, you must present the documentation required by the Family Compensation Fund.

3. The National Apprenticeship Service - As its acronym in Spanish - (SENA) issued Agreement 0002 of 2025, which provides the following:
i. Companies with more than 15 employees must submit apprentice quota regulations.
ii. Companies must issue a letter to SENA stating the trade code, number of employees, weekly work hours per employee, and total work hours.
iii. The trade code is the national standardization of job and occupation classifications.
iv. Agreement 0002 of 2025 repeals Agreement 10 of 2023, which updated the established trades and occupations list
v. Apprenticeship contracts signed under Agreement 10 of 2023 will remain in effect until expiration.
vi. SENA management is currently evaluating methodologies to update the list of trades and occupations.
While a new methodology is defined, Agreement 9 of 2005 will apply to determine the SENA quota.
